The bio-based fabric from renewable plant-power.
Bio-Material Fabric
Focus on green concept and sustainability for textile application.
Besides reduce / reuse / recycle, replacing traditional plastics with bio-based materials will help to solve global warming and also a solution for carbon-neutral.
Looking at the following figures, we could understand if we continue to use oil and natural gas, no matter how we try to save electricity, the global CO2 emissions will still increase over time...
1. 80 ~ 90% of global CO2 emissions come from fossil resources such as coal, oil, and natural gas.
2. The global average CO2 emissions are around 4.5 tons / person / year; the total population of the world is about 7.4 billion people.
3. This means the global CO2 emissions are about 37 billion/year.
It's obvious to realize that most of the carbon dioxide emissions come from human's activity.
What is the solution?
In addition to reduction, we also need additional strategies, replacement, and neutralization.
Substitution refers to the use of other low-carbon/zero-carbon resources to replace coal, oil, and natural gas; and carbon neutralization is to find ways to absorb or supplement carbon to resist the elimination of excess carbon emissions.
Therefore, when we replace traditional petrochemical plastics with low-carbon bio-based materials, it is a replacement strategy; when we plant trees and crops, it would increase a lot of bio-based raw materials as the carbon-neutral solution.
